I am Sophia Demetriad, I am from an Irish and Cypriot heritage, and I grew up under the sunny skies of Nicosia, Cyprus. My journey as a dedicated legal professional began at the University of Reading where I undertook my law studies from 2019 to 2022, and then I further honed my expertise by completing an LLM at the University of California, Los Angeles in May 2023. My areas of focus included Intellectual Property, Media, Entertainment, Sports Law, and Business Law, highlighting my keen interest in the dynamic and ever-changing legal landscapes of these sectors. When I step away from my legal pursuits, I spend my free time baking, an activity that allows me to express creativity and patience—qualities that serve me well in my professional life. My commitment to an active lifestyle is evident in my dedication to running, cycling, and yoga, practices that keep me grounded and energized. Furthermore, I am a passionate reader with a particular fondness for history books, indulging in the lessons of the past to inform the present. I enjoy watching movies and in particular old movies offering both a window into different worlds and narratives that complement my love for storytelling and the arts.
